Akro-Mils 10144: sort the drawer sizes first

The Akro-Mils cabinet catalog and specification sheet identify the 10144 arrangement with 32 small and 12 large drawers. Assign the long screws, hinges, and bulky fittings to the larger drawers before deciding how much capacity remains.

Check the available dividers rather than assuming every potential subdivision comes equipped. Drawer stop tabs support ordinary handling; they are not travel latches. A drawer cabinet should remain a fixed station unless its instructions explicitly support another use.

IRIS 44-drawer cabinet: compare the actual contents

IRIS's manufacturer page is the reference for its cabinet and drawer dimensions. Similar drawer counts do not prove the same usable capacity as another brand. Make a short inventory of hardware that is awkward to store and check those items first.

A long screw needs both length and retrieval clearance. A drawer filled to its rim may be difficult to remove or read. DEWALT Deep PRO: organize one project kit

The DWST14825 manufacturer page describes ten removable cups, a clear lid, and metal latches. A removable cup lets you bring a working quantity to the bench while leaving the rest of the kit closed.

Cup depth can be helpful for longer fasteners but awkward for a few tiny washers. Check how the closed lid relates to the cups and follow the carrying instructions. We have not tested retention of every small fastener through impacts or inversion. For very small items, a labeled inner container may be more useful than filling a deep cup.

ToughSystem Deep Compact: choose it for the connection

The DWST08020 manufacturer page identifies a compact organizer within ToughSystem 2.0. Consider it when the footprint and supported system connection serve a real transport need. Do not infer TSTAK compatibility or a particular cup capacity from the family name.

Open bins: working stock within reach

Akro-Mils 30210 and 30230 bins are candidates for frequently retrieved hardware. Open access helps with replenishment but does not give the closed-lid containment of a carrying case. Bin size also affects how many rows fit a panel.

Make the labels and inventory work together
